The State Crime Lab provided preliminary findings from their rush analysis of the knife found at the Jordan crime scene.

The evidence is described as:

006114-01: One (1) 12-inch chef's knife with 7-inch straight (non-serrated) blade stained with a shiny, bright red substance (Residue #1) and a dull, rust-colored substance (Residue #2), both dried.
