INVESTIGATION CASE FILE NOTE

CASE #:   006057-12L-2022
CASE DESCRIPTION: Jackson Walker death investigation
ASSIGNED INVESTIGATORS:   Det. Samantha Murphy, Det. Erin Parker
DATE: December 14, 2022

At 4:50 p.m. on this date, Detective Murphy spoke by telephone with Manish Agarwal, M.D. of the Yoknapatawpha County Coroner's Office.

Dr. Agarwal said the preliminary microscopic analysis found calcium oxalate monohydrate crystals and erythrocytes in the urine of Jackson Walker.

Dr. Agarwal could not provide specific levels pending the results of additional toxicology tests but noted that the findings are consistent with ethylene glycol poisoning. Additional analyses are ongoing to determine the accuracy of the preliminary findings.

He added that if these initial observations are confirmed, ethylene glycol poisoning would be the likely cause of death.

Dr. Agarwal said official findings would be available in the autopsy report.
