Investigation Day 2 — After the YCSD contacted neighboring jurisdictions to find out if any human body parts had been found in recent weeks, two additional counties responded.

Panola County to the west responded the incident report from a possibly relevant discovery.

Calhoun County to the southeast forwarded a report from separate incident that could be related.

Investigation Day 2 — Following up on the name on the slip of paper in the wax ball, YCSD investigators identified a Laurie Daniels who used to live in Oxford.

This Ms. Daniels apparently no longer resides in Yoknapatawpha County, but her parents still live here.

Detectives Murphy and Armstrong talked to them about their daughter.
