Ok so the arrow is 27 inches right. this means the person drawback must be around 26" meaning that are from about 5'5" to 5'9" but probably inbetween. the person was wearing a letter jacket. marc says he lost it from his letter jacket yet his first place archery badge was at the crime. he did not state that his jacket was taken only the badge. the witness said the person was tall yet they probably arent and they said they are female. maybe lizzie wore it and marc was also there? im not sure. lizzies father turned out like her mothers father which is why she may have been acting out a lot recently and that could have led her to kill him for her and her fathers benefit. perhaps she wanted the pin to fall off when they per both there so that he would get arrested and not her and she could get 1st place in archery because she is currently second. these are just some quick thought though.

On the topic of the weather at the time of death, it was not warm enough outside to only be wearing a shirt? He should have been wearing a coat or a jacket considering the weather. It is not likely that the motive was money since his wallet was left on him, so where was his jacket? The killer must also have been above him and slightly behind him to cause that angle. Was it possible to get on top of the roof of the church?
I am new to this and this is the first case I have read about, so I am sorry if I have missed any obvious answers in the information provided.

someone across the street at a bar on 10th saw it apparently and said they had a jacket with light sleeves. it must be a letter jacket and marc often wears one. however he claimed his pin went missing when the pin was at the scene of the crime and apparently so was a letter jacket wearing person who looked tall and female in the trees who suddenly ran away. marc did not mention anything about losing his jacket.

I've got a friend that can actually hit a packaging peanut from a few meters away... Why I mention this? Well, he's the best of his class and he should be a class higher... The skill that you need to: aim, pull the string, not letting it shoot away before you aimed again and then making sure that you kill someone (without injuring yourself in the process)... Its years of practice.

Search for people who are known to mr. Miller, they must be skilled in archery and they must have a licence to have and carry a bow and arrows (in my country, Belgium, you'll need a licence to carry a bow around outside the training grounds).

Then the arrows (feathers) should be compared (if you have a suspect)...

I've watched too much CSI lately. ?

Also how would he have fallen so perfectly, with both of his hands at his sides and his feet turned outward. Also how he lied perfectly on his back if he had been shot brutally enough to kill him

I think that the killer was unable to purchase a gun- or had excellent archer skills put to use, the angle suggests the arrow was never an arch but a straight shot from a taller person. The arrow is pretty long suggesting a wide arm and shoulder length, I think it is a tall boy or an older man. Shot from not TOO far. The killer knew his schedule and took that to an advantage, relation is possible. The drop was hard and sudden, which means he was not struggling afterwards do o his clothes and witness, We are looking at probably a Man with talented archer skills or too young to purchase a gun, and (able to run from scene -far) he can relate to this victim.
That's what I think..?

Thanks, Turtle (and welcome!). I really appreciate you analysis here. The comment on "wide arms and shoulder length" based on the length of the arrow are enlightening. Thanks!
