Did they have enough guns?

I do not understand why they have so many guns. I understand that they need props, but it seems a little excessive.

The only ammo that is not theater blanks are 22 caliber. I think the Smith and Wesson Ladysmith uses .22 cal.

The Smith and Wesson is a revolver, which would explain why there are no shell casings at the crime scene.
