Tanya Ryder interview #2

Wednesday, October 25, 2023 – 3:05 p.m.

Tanya Ryder is a social media influencer and resident of the 24/7 livestream show "Under Glass: The Study of Generation Z in the Real."

Detective Beckwith and Magee spoke with her again at the Under Glass house.

Participants:

  • Detective P. Beckwith
  • Detective J. Magee
  • Tanya Ryder

Tanya Ryder: Still haven't checked me out on social media, eh, detective?

Detective Magee: No. Please state your name and address for the record.

Tanya Ryder: For now, I live here at the Under Glass residence of attractive co-eds and one amazingly gorgeously breathtaking influencer, Tanya Ryder, 903 Muirfield Drive, Oxford.

Detective Beckwith: Don't get too comfortable. If you keep lying to us, you might find yourself in a correctional facility.

Tanya Ryder: What? What do you mean by that? I'm not lying to you!

Detective Magee: Your alibi doesn't check out, Tanya.

Tanya Ryder: It does! I promise you it does! Who did you talk to? Did you talk to Étienne?

Detective Beckwith: There is no Étienne.

Tanya Ryder: There is too an Étienne! I spoke with him yesterday on the phone. Did you go to the right place? Heirloom Bistro? My God, I can call him right now. Should I call him right now?

Detective Beckwith: According to Sheila, who's a dishwasher at Heirloom Bistro, there's no one named Étienne working there.

Tanya Ryder: What about Steve?

Detective Magee: Who's Steve?

Tanya Ryder: Étienne. Étienne is Steve. I thought everyone knew.

Detective Beckwith: How would we know that?

Tanya Ryder: Sheila should've known.

Detective Beckwith: Why? You know what? Nevermind. Tanya, please give us the name or pseudonym or whatever moniker he or she is known by at Heirloom Bistro who can confirm your whereabouts at 4:00 p.m. last Wednesday.

Tanya Ryder: Étienne, or Steve. The manager.

Detective Beckwith: Thank you.

Detective Magee: Were you friends with any of the previous residents?

Tanya Ryder: Oh, sure. Augie. Ze was so sweet. Everyone loved Augie.

Detective Beckwith: What was his relationship like with Hoyt?

Tanya Ryder: Hoyt loved Augie. My followers loved Augie. Everyone loved Augie. Ze had no issues with anyone ever.

Detective Beckwith: Not even Shiloh?

Tanya Ryder: Not even Shiloh. She hit on zir so hard, and ze'd just pretend ze didn't understand. It used to frustrate her so bad because she liked to believe that everyone wanted to have sex with her, so she had to try to be subtle about throwing herself at zir. The subscribers loved it.

Detective Magee: How so?

Tanya Ryder: I guess they just loved sweet, innocent Augie. Ze knew how to work it, sure, but ze really was sweet, so zir's sincerity shined through. It really made Shiloh look like a jealous stalker. Which I guess subscribers also liked.

Detective Beckwith: How do you know?

Tanya Ryder: Bonuses from Hoyt for fan mail. Augie made some good money while ze was here.

Detective Beckwith: Do you know why ze left?

Tanya Ryder: I think it just got boring, frankly, and ze got tired of the negative attention from Shiloh and the harassment from those people from COP.

Detective Magee: What kind of harassment?

Tanya Ryder: Just the usual yelling on the street outside. So Augie made bank and left. I think ze got into a serious relationship. Or maybe that was Nash. Anyway, Shiloh wanted to make porn films, and Augie's time at Under Glass is as pornographic as ze's ever gonna get.

Detective Beckwith: Porn films?

Tanya Ryder: Yeah, Shiloh had this idea she was going to be a porn star. She propositioned everyone. We all said no, except poor Wyatt.

Detective Magee: Why poor Wyatt?

Tanya Ryder: He has no idea how stupid those sex tapes are going to be. Or how stupid he was to get evicted. Or how stupid he is to be following Shiloh. She's up to no good, that one. Smart, with potential, but wants the easy money.

Detective Beckwith: Uh, okay. Easy money?

Tanya Ryder: I mean, they think they're making porn films, but they're just making sex tapes. They were stupid to piss Hoyt off and get evicted. I mean, they both were getting bonus money for basically the same thing on Hoyt's dime.

Detective Magee: Have you seen either of them back here at the house since they were evicted?

Tanya Ryder: Oh, hell no. And if they had, it'd be all over my feed. Not that you'd know, Detective Magee, since you're not following me. Yet.

Detective Magee: Okay, I think that'll do for now, Tanya. Thanks for talking to us.
