The Helping Hand investigation began on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, and will run for about eight weeks.
Local farmer John Reagle was arrested at Duffy's Bar & Grill after drunkenly harassing other patrons with what he claimed was his ex-girlfriend's severed hand.
Sheriff's investigators are working to find out whether the alleged hand is real and, if so, who it belongs to.
Is this hand the result of a tragic accident, the first hint of a fatal incident, or an elaborate hoax?
