Ok so it’s continuing to look bad for Brenda. Her story about Jasmine waiting for a ride was inconsistent, she was extremely possessive and controlling, and it’s clear that Jasmine wanted to move out and Brenda was not cool with that.

Here’s my (very early) theory based on the evidence I’ve gathered so far: Jasmine was going to go to her interview with Scott, but her mom offered to give her a ride instead, either on the way to or on her way back from the store (probably Kroger,) So she called Scott around 5 pm and told him that she no longer needed a ride. Something happened in the meantime between Brenda and Jasmine-they fought, and Brenda killed Jasmine. She wrapped up her body in the tarp and drove her to the woods, where she dumped her body. At some point, her Kroger card fell out of her pocket or her purse and ended up under the body.
Then again, it could be a red herring, or maybe Jasmine had the card with her and it ended up under the body that way, but I doubt it.
