The first thing that came to my mind when I read that she had died from multiple stabs wounds to her abdomen was, was she pregnant. Because in other cases where the victim was stabbed in the abdomen it is usually something like that.

My first priority would be a pregnancy test and if she's pregnant...a rapid DNA test of the fetus would be my next order to determine paternity. Might find a boyfriend not ready for a child or worse, a local married man who can't afford a sexual affair and baby to ruin his marriage? Hmmm...

The tarp is an unusual clue....don't hunters sometimes use tarp to cover their kill so blood doesn't get on their vehicle when transporting?
The 3 hunters: was the hunting area (where Jasmine was found) a pre-determined area (prior to 3rd Nov) or was it an impulse decision to hunt in that area?

It think the tarp was used in transportation of her body from "primary" crime scene to disposal site.
Plastic tarp was probably used as precautionary act to prevent the transfer of evidence....

But did not close her eyes, that could be a sign of not so intimate and personal killer- victim relationship...

Humm, well the first thing I thought when I read this was. "I think they really need to focus on the Man who supposedly found the body" because I do believe hunters use those types of tarps and, he was a hunter. So I'm sure they are looking into him. But, whoever did this needs to be caught immediately!! It hurts my heart to know she has a family and they are probably hurting deeply..

If the Responding Officer arrived on scene at 06:27 am why does his report state: R/O said YCFD EMTs R. Peterson and J. Bilkey arrived at approximately 6:20 a.m.

I believe that she was alone near the highway. Seeing that her phone was not taken and her purse was left with her probably means that he doesn't care money / valuables. It is probable that she had walked / ran some distance after being stabbed and had tried calling 911, but the killer caught up with her and killed her. If I am right and she was there, then why was she standing by the highway at such a late hour? Whats strange is that her face has the least tarp over it, one layer most likely, but the rest of her body is covered up so much that it is hard to see her clothes. The killer might have wanted to look at her face one more time, either for personal ( a friend of her maybe?) reason, or for their own interest. Her killer might have also killed her out of rage and out of remorse and guilt covered her body with the tarp.

I don't see this as the crime scene this is a dumping ground

The hunter reported the body at 6.12am. The weather was cold and most likely the sun hadn't come up yet. To discover a body that way would have shaken him up a bit. The cloths Jasmine was wearing don't fit with cold weather and she has no shoes. My thoughts are that Jasmine wasn't murdered at the scene but carried in after she was dead. The killer wanted the body to be discovered going by the way she was placed. Why was the purse placed in her hand and the phone found away from the body? It seems almost ritual. Like mummification. Was she the victim of some crazy cult, maybe she was a sacrifice? Could this be the first kill from a serial killer? This is an horrific murder and we need to work fast to catch the killer.

A thorough search of the area might hold vital evidence for footprints. Is there a track in which the killer has come from?
