A drawing of Miller, I assume. And I'm guessing that Lizzie is with Marc in the pictures. Why does Dad have the pictures in his desk? Could he be saving Caroline's receipts to figure out where she was spending her time when she ran "errands". It seems they both have habits of staying out of the house, away from him. hmmm....

The drawing was my first thought, too. Frederick wasn't the nicest person around, was he?

And a P.S. Only one archery set up in the garage? Fred and Lizzie both shot, where is the other one?

Good question. By the way, I was thinking that maybe Lizzie drew the picture, but what about Jimmy? Maybe he left it where Frederick could see it.

"When his daughter began to show real talent in competitive archery, Frederick volunteered to be the assistant coach of the school's archery team." (Source. Frederick Miller bio)

Does he actually have his own bow? I took it that he is a volunteer, not actually an archer himself...

My first Impression was they look alike, possibly even related...

I recall Marc went round the corner with a few friends and one cigarette butt was found, after they spent a whole 18 minutes there:

I recall Marc went round the corner with a few friends and one cigarette butt was found, after they spent a whole 18 minutes there:

From Marc's surveillance Report:

9:14 PM
Subject exits the building with four of the teenagers: Person 2, Person 3, and Person (4): F, Caucasian, 16, 5'6, 120, blonde hair. The group is observed walking behind the building, but we are unable to follow inconspicuously.

9:32 PM
The group emerges from behind the building and re-enters the building.
Upon search of the area behind the building where the subject had been, we find a cigarette butt still half burning on the ground, which appears to have been partially stepped on.

I found that very peculiar. 18 whole minutes and just one cig?

Maybe Marc has a smoking habit, which contributed to Frederick Collin's disdain of the boy?

The writing is on the backside of the page, by the way. I assume Marc is left-handed. (Recall the glove) He turned the page of the writing block and drew the pic. had he been right-handed he may have used a new page? (Just guessing here though for the time)

It seems to me the drawing has traces of faint writing on it, on the top of the page.

Good catch! May be just picking up pencil writing from the last page in the notebook, but it should at least help with identifying who owned the notebook. Good eyes!
