If she was murdered, I don't think the murderer premeditated a scheme to make it look like suicide. In the coroner's report, I would be looking for signs of defensive marks to determine if she had been surprise attacked and rendered unconscious or if there had been some fighting back. I would also watch to see if cuticle marks are found around the neck. The lack of which would indicate she was unresponsive when hung up. The cause of death could still go either way; strangulation or blunt force trauma.
I also wonder about the baby clothes. They may be for a baby she was expecting, or she may have bought them as a gift to an expecting friend.
The inscriptions on the floral card and locket give me the creeps. Sounds like someone is unhealthily possessive.

The marks on her face could been from a previous beating from a boyfriend maybe? And she could have committed suicide.

It can't be easy to hang oneself on a closet door. There's not much of a drop so the noose would have to be snug already before putting one's weight into it. She would have certainly needed to stand on something. There is no mention of anything...

She would have certainly needed to stand on something. There is no mention of anything nearby she might have stood on and kicked away. I think she was murdered.

The autopsy report should show whether it is murder or suicide. She could have been strangled and then posed to look like a suicide. A thorough autopsy could determine this.

Actor David Carradine hung himself in a closet. The orginal report stated no object he jumpped off of. So he put the noose around his neck and sat down.. Closts aren't that high.

Would be helpful to know what she used to hang her self with. also the marks around the neck would show a difference if she was alive and died or if she wasa already dead. the the last case the blood would not be flowing and would certainly leave a different mark, than if she was alive when the noose or what ever went around her neck

closets dont need to be high for suicide... the noose needs to be shorter... and the body suspended in way that doesnt touches the ground...

if the door was locked, and there was no sign of a break-in, it must be a sealed room murder.the roses might have been given on the day of the murder, maybe from the culprit. since there was no sign of a break in, there are some possibilities. one is that the victim knew the culprit so she let him in, the flowers indicate a passionate friend, they were after all roses, but what is troubling is that it might all be a setup. by the way if the investigators look to the closet door they might be able to at least determine the height of the culprit, and the may also find blood or skin from the culprits hand.

there is a question that will need an answer for this case to unravel, and it is: how did the culprit manage to get in a locked room, and then get out after re-sealing the door before he left?
sherlock holmes once said and i quot:(Before turning to those moral and mental aspects of the matter which present the greatest difficulties, let the inquirer begin by mastering more elementary problems.)
and the worlds greatest detective also said:( when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.)
by this we can be sure that it can simply be done, the trick was hidden because of the culprit, he had to return to the room to hide the evidence without anyone noticing him.

First of all, look at the timeline. If Justin is telling the truth that Courtney was still alive when he left, the flowers would have been delivered after he left.
7:30 Courtney was seen shaking out her rugs
The older man shows up between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.
9:00 Dylan shows up to visit Mrs. Roy. He leaves as Justin gets there at about 11:00a.m
Justin leaves around 11:30 a.m.
Mrs. Roy saw the flowers delivered. They would have been delivered some time between 12:00 and 1:00 for Courtney to have been dead for 1 to 3 hours when they found her at 3:30 p.m. Not a lot of time to get things done.
Whoever it was, she knew them and let them in. They got into an argument resultinig in the contusions on her face. She could not have done it herself because there was nothing there to stand on and if she had sat down to hang herself, she wouldn't be hanging with her feet dangling off the floor as in the photo.
