Case Description: Dalton Kimbrough homicide investigation

Investigators mapped the location of the lodge where Dalton Kimbrough was killed in relation to the City of Oxford for reference.

The crime scene, 316 CR 288, is fifteen miles west of Oxford and three miles east of the Panola county line.

For being so far out, all the officers arrived pretty quickly. Obviously the closest patrols would be dispatched, and at that time of night there isn't much traffic, but even so, the lodge doesn't seem to be as "remote" as I had first envisioned.

I think there is a good chance an officer was withing 6-8 min of the crime scene, especially considering Oxford is a college town. I agree, this map certainly shows that if anything, anyone from town could've quickly and easily been involved in...

I think there is a good chance an officer was withing 6-8 min of the crime scene, especially considering Oxford is a college town. I agree, this map certainly shows that if anything, anyone from town could've quickly and easily been involved in this crime and investigation. The lodge can't be more than a 17 min drive from downtown.
