The Kudzu Kids have been staying in touch with each other while Rachel's out of town.
Rachel shared some of the emails they've sent each other.

Guys, I have to spend a few days with my mom in Jackson. She just rented a new apartment here, and she’s starting a new job. I think I should be with her. It’s tough for all of us right now.
I want you to keep me updated on your progress. I’ll be searching the Internet for more clues. Keep me up to date on what y'all have found.

Hey Sis, WE FOUND IT!
That's right, and we didn't even need your brains to help.
We went to Farley Hall and looked around in the basement, but it's all newspaper offices, a radio station and a printing press. No dark corridors or broom closets.
Finally, Zach found a door in the middle of the wall in the stairwell, but it was locked. We asked some of the teachers and even the head of the student media, and nobody knew what it was.
So Mel got the idea to ask a janitor, since we've had a lot of luck with janitors so far. Sure enough, this janitor had a huge ring of keys.
He found the one to open the door and inside was a dumbwaiter. That's like a mini elevator, but I'm sure you knew that. It was probably used to carry books up and down from the library.
They wouldn't let us go in there (of course), so we went over to the library and got a copy of a map showing where everything is in Farley Hall.
When all the fuss died down and everybody left, we lifted Zach up and he went inside. He crawled down the shaft and found a small tunnel, which he crawled through, and it led to a secret room with all sorts of pipes and stuff. It looked like it was pretty far underground.
And then, he found it! The entrance to the tunnels!
I attached some pictures we took plus the map of Farley Hall.
So we're definitely going in, probably tonight. Too bad you can't be here to share the glory with us. We'll take a cellphone, and send you some updates.
Tell Mom I love her.
See ya when we're rich, Rach!

Hunter, I got your email about the dumbwaiter in Farley Hall. Great work! I tried to call, but no one was home. (Tell Dad to change the voicemail message. Mom's greeting is still on there.)
I have to stay here and help Mom unpack, so I can't come back and help you explore right now.
Don't go down into the tunnels without telling Dad or somebody! According to the map that we found in the Shegog Bible, the tunnels are too tricky, and there are probably booby traps.
Besides Gramps says it could be dangerous because of the other people who are looking for the same thing — and he would know!
So wait until you talk to Dad. Maybe he'll come along.
Just check over all the clues, and don't go rushing off like a bunch of half-wits in hot pursuit of treasure.
I'll be checking in for other developments.
Be careful.
