Case Description: Cameron & Caitlin Maxwell Missing Persons Investigation

On Tuesday, January 14, 2014, the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department switchboard received a call at 1:46 a.m. regarding the Cameron and Caitlin Maxwell investigation. The caller declined to identify himself or herself.

The call was traced to the pay phone outside Abner's, a chicken tenders restaurant at the corner of South Lamar Avenue and University Avenue. The dispatcher attempted to keep the caller on the line, but by the time deputies arrived at the location, no one was there.

A transcript of the call was made, and Detectives Armstrong and Murphy were notified.

Dispatch: Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department, may I help you?

Caller: Some graves are big enough for two to skate in.

Dispatch: Excuse me?

Caller: I said, some graves are big enough for two to skate in.

Dispatch: What is your name and where are you calling from, sir?

Caller: That's not important. Just check the grave on the south side of St. Peter's Cemetery. The freshest one.

Dispatch: And what are we supposed to find, sir?

Caller: Open up the grave and you'll see.

Dispatch: Sir, it's procedure that you'll need to speak with a detective about that type of information. It will only take a moment. Please hold the line.

Caller: [Disconnects]

Dispatch: Sir? Sir, are you there?
