REPORTING PERSON'S NARRATIVE(Brief narrative of the facts surrounding the missing person report.)

At 7:20 p.m., Todd Maxwell and his wife Robin Maxwell arrived at the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department to report their son Cameron and their daughter, Caitlin, missing.

Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell said they last saw Cameron and Caitlin on January 3, 2014, at approximately 3:10 a.m. at their residence at 103 Pleasant Drive in Oxford. Mrs. Maxwell indicated that Cameron and Caitlin were scheduled to take the 3:30 a.m. Magnolia Transit shuttle to the Memphis, TN airport to meet a 6:00 a.m. US Airways flight to Boston, Massachusetts, where they were scheduled to stay at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf while participating in the US Figure Skating Championships, January 5 - 12, 2014.

Mrs. Maxwell said Cameron and Caitlin had two Pullman suitcases, one tote bag, one cosmetic case, one duffle bag, four skate bags, and one garment bag with them when they departed.

Mr. Maxwell provided copies of receipts dated December 20, 2013, for the purchase of the airline and bus tickets.

Mr. Maxwell said their elder son, Austin, who also resides at 103 Pleasant Drive, drove Cameron and Caitlin to the Magnolia Transit pick-up location at Eastgate Shopping Center on University Avenue and then returned home.

The Maxwells said it is not unusual for the pair to wait a day or so to call home when traveling. The Maxwells said they became alarmed when they had not heard from either Cameron or Caitlin by the afternoon of January 5, 2014. Mrs. Maxwell said she called the Marriott Long Wharf in Boston on the evening of January 5, 2014, and found that her children had not checked in. Calls to their mobile phones have gone unanswered, and voice mail messages have not been returned.

The Maxwells said they had confirmed with their figure skating contacts that Cameron and Caitlin have not participated in or been seen at the championship events to date.

The Maxwells said they have been unable to confirm whether their children were on the Magnolia Transit shuttle on January 3, 2014, but have confirmed that the two never boarded their flight in Memphis the same morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell were adamant that Cameron and Caitlin would not voluntarily disappear or miss any part of their training.

There is no history of unexplained absences or failure to contact on the part of either Cameron or Caitlin Maxwell.

The Maxwells said they have no theories or reasons for their children's disappearance and said they do suspect foul play.

INITIAL FINDINGS (Did initial inquiries indicate follow-up is appropriate?)

The YCSD confirmed with Lila Grant of Magnolia Transit that the bus company does not retain passenger manifests but that the drivers maintain their records for 90 days. Grant was unable to confirm that Cameron and Caitlin Maxwell were on the 3:30 a.m. shuttle to the Memphis airport on January 3, 2014, but did identify Roger Jetton of Memphis as the driver for that run.

Jetton said in a telephone interview that Cameron and Caitlin Maxwell did not board the January 3, 2014, shuttle at the Eastgate Shopping Center pick-up location.

The YCSD confirmed with US Airways that Cameron and Caitlin Maxwell did not check in or obtain boarding passes and are not listed on the flight manifest for the January 3, 2014, 6:0 a.m. flight out of Memphis to Boston via Charlotte, North Carolina. The airline confirmed that the tickets purchased in their names have not been used or refunded.

In a telephone interview, Austin Maxwell confirmed that he drove Cameron and Caitlin to the Eastgate Shopping Center and dropped them off at approximately 3:30 a.m. on January 3, 2014. Austin indicated that he then returned home and was back in bed by 3:45 a.m. Austin Maxwell alluded to a verbal altercation among the siblings during transit to the Eastgate Shopping Center, which warrants further investigation, and an in-person interview with Austin Maxwell has been scheduled for the morning of January 6, 2014.

A preliminary canvass of the Eastgate Shopping Center found no witnesses who were present between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on January 3, 2014, and who could confirm that Cameron or Caitlin Maxwell were at that location at the time indicated.

Preliminary indications are that foul play may be a possibility, and the situation will be investigated as a potential CAPS case.
