YOKNAPATAWPHA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

Investigating Officer(s): Det. S. Murphy. Det. T. Armstrong
Incident No.: 001981-20D-2018
Case Description: Alyx Byrns death investigation

During the search of the Lamoire residence, Detectives Armstrong and Murphy discovered a note (Ev. # 001981-26: One (1) handwritten note signed "Alyx") among Stephen Lamoire's belongings.

The content of the note is as follows:

I'm afraid, but it's the only way we can be sure that we're together forever. If only my parents didn't hate him so much, this wouldn't be necessary.

I'm afraid, but Stephen is strong. Vodka shots for courage. To numb the pain. I have tried, but it seems I'm my mother’s daughter after all.

Our last kiss.

I'm afraid, but he'll help me do it. Then he will take my hand and do himself. Peace. Together. Forever.

I am afraid, but I am ready.

Alyx
