I received the attached search warrant August 30, 2023, and have executed it as follows:
On August 30, 2023, at 1:20 p.m., I searched the person or premises described in the warrant and left a copy of the warrant with Nathaniel Harrison Nelson, property lessee.
INVENTORY OF PERSON OR PROPERTY TAKEN PURSUANT TO THE WARRANT
Residence
- 004378-30 through 004378-35: Six (6) pairs of men's trousers, khaki, size 32"x33"
- 004378-36 through 004378-41: Six (6) men's oxford cloth button-down shirts, blue, size 15-1/2" neck, 32" sleeve
- 004378-42: One (1) baseball cap, white, Greek letters "Δ Τ Χ" on cap
- 004378-43 through 004378-45: Three (3) pairs men's athletic shoes, size 10
- 004378-46: One (1) leather duffel bag, black
Contents:- 004378-46-001: One (1) pair men's running shoes, red and blue, size 10
- 004378-46-002: One (1) pair men's athletic shorts, dark blue, size M
- 004378-46-003: One (1) athletic supporter, size M
- 004378-46-004: One (1) pair men's athletic socks, white, size 10
- 004378-46-005: One (1) cotton men's t-shirt, dark blue with dark-colored stains, size M
Vehicle
- 004378-47: One (1) empty condom wrapper, Trojan Twisted Pleasures, recovered from underneath front passenger seat
- 004378-48: One (1) used latex condom, recovered from underneath front passenger seat
- 004378-49: One (1) 2"x3" swatch with unidentified stain, removed from front passenger seat
- 004378-H001 through 004378-H003: Three (3) long blonde hairs, recovered from front passenger headrest
- 004378-H004 through 004378-H010: Seven (7) short dark hairs visually consistent with pubic hairs, recovered from front passenger seat, dark brown/black
Seized as contraband
- One (1) clear zip-seal plastic bag containing approximately 3/4-ounce of a green vegetable material identified by field testing as marijuana
- One (1) silver alligator clip measuring approx. 2" long, found in proximity to plastic bag of green vegetable material
- One (1) remnant of a marijuana cigarette, approx ½ in. long, commonly identified as a "roach," recovered from ashtray

Affidavit(s) having been made before me by Detective Ted Armstrong
who has reason to believe that on the premises known as
118-C Warren Street, Oxford, MS, which is a one-bedroom basement apartment with a private entrance, leased to and occupied by Nathaniel Harrison Nelson; a white 2023 Lexus RX 350 sport utility vehicle, Mississippi license tag # PWL 731, VIN XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, leased to Nathaniel Harrison Nelson;
in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, there is now concealed a person or property, namely
men's blue shirt or blue button-down shirt; men's khaki trousers; baseball cap with Greek letters; dark blue or black duffel bag or "gym bag"; lengths of fabric or like items times consistent with a soft ligature; Trojan brand lubricated latex condoms; queen size bed linens including bed sheets, bedspreads, and standard size pillowcases; photographs depicting Kristi Waterson; documents regarding Kristi Waterson;
and as I am satisfied that there is probable cause to believe that the person or property so described is now concealed on the person or premises above described and that grounds for application for issuance of the search warrant exist as stated in the supporting affidavit(s).

Investigator's Note: While executing the original search warrant for Hunter Nelson's residence and vehicle, investigators observed a suspicious stain in plain sight on the front passenger seat of Nelson's vehicle.
The detectives obtained an additional search warrant, expanding the scope of the original search to include trace evidence and related items in the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded to allow for additional analysis as needed.
