COP seeks information in Miller slaying
$2,500 reward offered
Local activist organization Concerned Oxford Parents (COP) is offering a reward of $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who murdered Frederick Miller.
Miller was shot with an arrow last week in the parking lot of the Faith and Glory Community Church.
"We are extremely saddened by the loss of one of Oxford's upstanding citizens," said Ben Morgan, president of COP. "Unfortunately, no one has been charged in this shocking murder, and the culprit remains at large. Until that person is brought to justice, none of our children are safe."
Morgan said the release yesterday of 17-year-old Marc Huddleston has only increased the COP members' concerns.
"It is our duty as citizens to step up and assist law enforcement in the pursuit of grievous criminals like the person responsible for this heinous murder. That is why COP is offering this reward."
If you have any information that could help identify the person or persons involved in the death of Frederick Miller, please contact the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department.
