The night of April 20, 2017, YCSD investigators spoke to all 38 people who were participating in the Sewcial Compassion event at the Faith and Glory Community Church when Frederick Miller was killed.

When they heard the sirens, some of the participants had exited the church's Fellowship Hall where the event was being held, but Deputy Willits had escorted them back to the Fellowship Hall and asked them to remain there until an investigator could speak to them.

The participants were asked what they had seen and heard at the church that evening.

The interviews summarized are some of the most typical or relevant to the investigation and are representative of all interviews conducted.

Hmmm. So, you think that the person in the trees was a female? I can't see a male belonging to a sewing club, but we can't rule out anything at this point.

Stephanie Bragg says she was "in and out" all night. Do you think it's possible that on one of her "outs" she went around the back of the building and shot Fred? She runs back in and nearly collides with Ms. Mitchell. Do we know which of the two buildings was being used? It's not clear to me that the other witnesses would have been able to see the doors.

Margaret Davis said that the kitchen was locked and couldn't find anyone to open it. Trying Between 7-7.30pm. It was supposed to be unlocked. Did Stephanie have a key? Cynthia Carter said the sewing night was unusual because, not only was it on a Thursday, it was the first time to be held at the church. Stephanie Bragg was one of the organizers. I wonder if she pushed to have the meeting at the church that night for her own reasons? I wonder if she locked the kitchen on purpose to hide something. She did appear to be coming from the kitchen area when she nearly ran into Ms Mitchell. Just before the police sirens.
