Investigators searched for witnesses among the Pruitt neighbors

On February 20 and 21, 2016, the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department conducted a canvass in the vicinity of victim Robert Pruitt's residence, looking for potential witnesses who might have seen or heard anything at the Pruitt residence on February 19, 2016.

The interviews summarized are some of the most typical or relevant to the investigation and are representative of all interviews conducted.

Eubanks

Richard Eubanks
606 Tyler Avenue

Eubanks, 65, is a pediatrician. He owns and resides in the home immediately adjacent the victim's residence.

Eubanks said that, during the day on February 20, 2016, he "worked in his yard" until approximately 6:00 p.m., when he went inside to prepare dinner and watch the Atlanta Hawks game on television.

Eubanks said he went outside briefly at approximately 8:15 p.m. and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Eubanks added that he heard his dog bark about 9:00 p.m., but he didn't get up from the TV.

Eubanks said he neither heard nor saw anything of note that night, but added that "the Rib Cage Street Party noise pretty well drowned everything out."

Eubanks also said that he did not know the Pruitts well and that he rarely saw any other cars near the Pruitt residence.

Interesting
The Traffic Officer saw 2 cars 1 white Van and a souped up noisy car with teenagers.
There was almost an accident. I would like to find out more about the white Ban

How does the legally blind McSphears know what time it was?

Very good point, it didn't occur to me, so thank you, for one how did he know it was 9.00 if he was 'involved with the Arkansas basketball game' and I find it very convenient how he points out he heard "two firecrackers" shortly thereafter, but...

Is it possible motive or just in bad taste that real estate agent is so interested the "marketable" house?

That is just what I was thinking. How could you be more worried about a house then a murder. Somethig doesn't seem right

Even if the neighborhood was noisy that evening, two gunshots right next door would have been pretty loud don't you think?

What is certain is 9PM(or around 9-9:30) was the hour of shooting or unusual loud sounds, according to Eubanks, whose dog barked at the sound,McSpears, who at 9:30 hears "two firecrackers" and the Sweeneys who reported that unusual occurences(the...

What is interesting is that no one checked what the sound was and that Parker did not see or hear anything .Her interest in the house could be more or less suspicious but it can also be the instinct of business people, unfortunately. Besides Parker, how come nonw of the Sweeneys haven't heard the gun shot? As a surgeon,I assume that Mr. Sweeny must be in a healthy condition so his hearing should be at least normal, right?
I can't find other notable details other than the relationship between the Pruitts and their neighbours which doesn't give much information.
