I believe the missing shoe can tell us exactly where the attack took place because I believe the body was dragged to the stairs to look like an accedent.

A photo pf the missing shoe is needed to make sure that the vicitim was attacked elsewhere and dragged to the stairs.

so you feel on the way up the stairs , your slipper did you fall over your feet ,were you distracted

did the dog follow your feet thinking time to go out, oops in a hurry to write something so what was in the basement?

A description of the wound as to what made the wound on the back of the neck/head might help

I wish we could see more pictures around the basement, to get a better feel of the layout.

Can;t see the photos, any help is appreciated.

the missing shoe might just be a fish out of water, most murders are committed by people that are close to the victims, however in this case there seems to be no overkill, such as in the case of a crime of passion, but rather it look's like...

the missing shoe might just be a fish out of water, most murders are committed by people that are close to the victims, however in this case there seems to be no overkill, such as in the case of a crime of passion, but rather it look's like kiberly was placed at the scene in the position she was found, I wonder did she have knowledge about somebody that got her killed?

I see no blood pattern evidence anywhere in the photos.

Well either she was placed in the basement deliberately, or she was killed whilst going up the stairs. If it was the latter, her killer would have had to stand behind her as she went up, or to her right, to make an effective, well placed single blow, if I interpret the autopsy report correctly. To the right there is some obstruction visible, as well as the wall, so that only leaves the option of her killer directly being behind her, with Kim. being at least on the 2nd step on the way up. The killer supposedly then deals the deadly blow from behind, Kim. topples backwards, thus leaving her arms and legs in that position, facing upwards, whilst the killer is nearly knocked over by the body him/herself, before s/he leaves the scene of the crime (taking the shoe and unscrewing the lightbulb). There would be splatterings of blood on the side walls and most certainly on the killer.

If she had been going downstairs whilst the killer was behind her, the wound would have been very different, namely coming from above, also the resulting fall would have caused futher multiple injuries to her body as she tumbled down the stairs, before the killer followed and turned her into that position. As it is, the deadly blow was made at a 90° angle. There hardly seems any room to swing a cat around let alone deal such a blow at the top of the basement either. She surely must have been placed there (with the intention of making it look like an accident.)
