Case Description: Severed Finger Investigation

The following items were taken into evidence from the crime scene at the Rebel Inn at 2133 S Lamar Blvd. Trace evidence is still being collected from the scene and will be reported upon completion.

Rebel Inn Room 120 has been sealed by the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department until further notice. Rebel Inn management has been advised to notify the YCSD immediately if the registered guest returns or if anyone attempts to access or requests access to the room.

Collected from Room 120

  • 002641-01: One (1) left thumb, amputated below the proximal interphalangeal joint
  • 002641-02: One (1) carpet section, 5' x 3' with apparent blood stains

Collected from outside south exit door

  • 002641-03 through 002641-11: Nine (9) cigarette butts
  • 002641-12 through 002641-13: Two (2) suspected marijuana cigarette butts
  • 002641-14: One (1) unopened Coca-Cola can
  • 002641-15 through 002641-16: Two (2) empty Coca-Cola cans
  • 002641-17: One (1) empty Sprite soda can
  • 002641-18 through 002641-20: Three (3) empty Miller Lite beer cans
  • 002641-21 through 002641-22: Two (2) empty Budweiser beer cans

NOT SURE IF THIS IS SUSPICIOUS AS YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE VERY STUPID TO CHOP SOMEONES FINGER OFF AND LEAVE YOUR DNA OUTSIDE ON A BEER CAN... HOWEVER, WHY WAS THERE AN 'UNOPENED' CAN OUTSIDE- THIS MAKES ME THINK THAT MAYBE THERE WAS SOME SORT OF...

There were alot of 1 things unopened, maybe the victim had his thumb cut off before he could start drinking
