Some kind of ritual was performed at the site. The tree was marked with blood, either the victim's or the chicken's is my guess. I wonder if there was anything in that wood box when they burned it or if it was just used for firewood.

I sure wouldn't have wanted the job of opening that bucket!

The color of the bucket was yellow and white or blue and white?

This definitely sounds like a ritual of some sort. The chicken carcasses wounds make it sound like it was sacrificed. I wonder what the perpetrator did with the body? With only a little blood found, it seems unlikely that the head was severed...

With only a little blood found, it seems unlikely that the head was severed on the site, but it's possible that they cleaned up somehow. If the victim was killed elsewhere, the person/people involved in the ritual may not be the actual murderers...

This was some sort of ritual. the ball of wax got me very interested so I decided to research it. This is what I got.

"Write down your target’s name four times and then write their name 5 times backward. Melt a BLACK candle and take the warm wax and paper with your TARGETS name and roll it into a ball. Then you are going to want to take 9 pins and stick it directly into the ball. Go to a RIVER or running water and throw the ball away. Then, snap your fingers and recite the following, “St. Expedite, make him go quick.” When your goal has been achieved, leave an offering to St. Expedite."

This matches up a lot with the scene. Also, I'm not saying its Tucker but wasn't he gone for quite a while? What if he went to St. Expedite just like what the directions said to do. Whoever Laurie Daniels is, that is possibly the person in the bucket

I think that some sort of ritual could have happened here, I think the blood on the tree Is the chickens. But is the ritual and the murder related or could it be coincidence that the murder happened where the ritual was, perhaps using the ritual...

There is probably a serial killer using some sort of ritual pattern. So then you could find out what kind of ritual, and use that to see when and where the next event will take place. Anyone know anything about witchcraft?

It seems to be some sort of voodoo ritual, considering most practitioners use animal blood in their spells, mostly blood from cows/chickens. The sacrifice of a human is to in short "seal whatever deal has been made" during said ritual.

It does signifies as a ritual due to the use of the ball of wax and the incisions on the chest and the neck of the chicken but the thing that stands out is the use of the weird chemical and chemicals are used for preserving the flesh or decaying...

It does signifies as a ritual due to the use of the ball of wax and the incisions on the chest and the neck of the chicken but the thing that stands out is the use of the weird chemical and chemicals are used for preserving the flesh or decaying it. in this case it looks to be used for decaying. so the killer should have done the ritual first then cuts the head. So it would be nice to consider that the killer did the ritual to make sure that the persons name written in the page will die.

Are you sure it's ritualistic? I think there is a vendetta, more because of there is the element if "pool free".
