PHI Evidence: Email exchange between Wenzel Hitzig and Chris Davenport, a journalist |
|
The following information was taken from Wenzel Hitzig's email account: The following is a transcrpt of mails between Wenzel Hitzig and Chris Davenport, a journalist who was making a documentary about Mr Hitzig's former business partner Achim Michaelis. <-----Original Message-----> From: Chris Davenport Sent: 4/25/2002 11:11:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Michaelis documantary Dear Mr. Hitzig, Magdalena Holm gave me your e-mail address. I work as a freelance journalist in Europe. I'm currently working on a short documantary about Achim Michaelis. The feature will be on air this fall. The working title is "Achim Michaelis - Potrait of a Gambler". I know you were a good friend and business partner of Achim. I would like to do an interview with you - do you assent to that? There is only one problem, our budget is very small so I can't travel to America. At the moment I am trying to contact a colleague in Memphis, who maybe able to do some filming for me. Anything you can tell me about Achim will be helpful. Maybe you have some material (images, video, letters etc.) you can provide. I can only offer a small fee for that, but I think that's not important, It's much more important to make a remarkable movie about Achim Michaelis. The movie will be a 5 minutes feature that will be broadcasted in a culture programme. It will show some examples of Michaelis work and feature some interviews with his relatives, friends and colleagues. (Elena Weiss, Katja Michaelis, Magdalena Holm, Wilhelm von Hoegen, Stefan Basso, Thomas Weiler and you) I would like to start the feature with a mystery question something like : "Who is Theo Gasman?" Okay this is not Citizen Kane but a little mystery should be a nice fish hook. So the Gasman question can be our "Rosebud" BTW, do you know who or what this Theo Gasman thing means? Is there something behind this? When will you leave? I can try to arrange a date with my friend in Memphis next week. His name is Josh Bainbridge. so long Chris Davenport
