Biography: Vincent Spinelli, loaned money to the victim

Born July 6, 1962, Vincent Spinelli is the second son of second generation Italian-Americans. He was an under-achiever at school, with a good attendance record but poor grades and a spate of disciplinary issues. Some of his teachers commented that they thought Vincent had the potential to make a good student, but either peer pressure or inattention stifled his natural abilities.

Vincent grew up thinking he was a wise guy, though in truth he has never been part of a gang or organized crime in any way. After leaving school, he fell into a series of jobs, trying his hand at carpentry, building and, after a while, getting into debt collection. The idea of "Vincent Spinelli, debt collector" appealed to him and he was good at it. After a while, he decided not only would he collect debts, but he would also provide loans and, with only a small amount of cash, he started making small loans at exorbitant rates to people with nowhere else to go.

He is happy for people to think he has "connections" as it helps him collect on his many loans. Vincent feels he is a service provider for those unfortunate people to whom normal avenues of credit are blocked. His interest rates are rumored to be extortionate and there are no reminder letters. If you are late with a payment, you are visited. Vincent Spinelli started small and found most of his clients through his job at the debt collection agency. Nowadays, he works for himself and often hires help to go visit people who may be having difficulties meeting their payment schedules. He finds the personal touch works wonders.
