Note from Edward Pierce to David Anderson

Anderson received the following letter Thursday, Sept. 4. It had been hand-delivered and nailed to his front door. In addition, the door had been defaced with red liquid, which had been splashed and smeared onto the surface. Analysis revealed that the liquid was blood from a dog.

No animal carcass was found on the scene. The Yoknapatawpha Animal Shelter reported no dog adoptions or unusual activities on Thursday.
