It's quite obviously Marc Hussleston. Before you go thinking he was framed, his alibi doesn't check out so this is a completely different kind of indicator than the evidence at the scene such as the arrow marked with 'ten' and Marc's pin

So, what are the possibilities? These come to my mind...
1. Marc lost the pin by the tree after killing Frederick and the trainer actually means Friday, 21st April or in other words "yesterday".
2. Marc feigned losing the pin a wekk before and planted it at the crime scene to make it look as if someone is setting him up
3. Someone pinched the pin a week before and planted it at the crime scene to set Marc up as the murderer.
4. Marc lost the pin whilst hanging out with Lizzie/Youths
5. Marc lost the pin whilst preparing the tree for the ambush a week before
6. The trainer is mistaken.
Moreover. Would Marc discard the bow and hat so close to the crime scene?
Yes I have actually just read that interview. It seems you have certainly read into this case more than I have, but I still don't understand why nobody can confirm Marc's alibi yet 4 or 5 can confirm Lizzie's alibi even though they are the exact...
Yes I have actually just read that interview. It seems you have certainly read into this case more than I have, but I still don't understand why nobody can confirm Marc's alibi yet 4 or 5 can confirm Lizzie's alibi even though they are the exact same alibi. Perhaps you can provide some sort of explanation to this?
And I feel I can rule out your first possibility because Travis mentioned he was "driving everyone nuts" with the fact that he lost it and his most recent archery lesson was on Wednesday and the killing was on Thursday therefore the pin must have left his possession before the killing.

Well, let es have another look at the alibi.
"Mrs Kimball remembered seeing Lizzie at the skate park around sunset when she and her son were preparing to leave. She said Lizzie was sitting in the grassy area at the edge of the park with a teenage male. She said a group of other teens was loitering around the same area. They stood out to her because a few of the juveniles were smoking cigarettes. Mrs Kimball did not observe Lizzie or the boy with her smoking, but she was concerned that Lizzie was possibly hanging out with teenagers who were."
So, had Marc joined the others at that moment to have a smoke (recall the 18 minute smoke of one cigarette at the cafeteria), and is this teen with Lizzie just Jeffrey Scott, who was seen by Mary Kimball?
I think Marc smokes cigarettes and that added to Frederick's disdain for the boy. Marc may possibly have been with the group of smoking youths with Lizzie looking on when she was talking to Jeffrey Scott shortly before being collected by her mother...
We mustn't forget, would Lizzie and her mother really hush up Marc's non-appearance or absence at the skate park, if it was possible that he was the murderer of their father/husband? Did they hate the man that much? Also, recall Marc's patience in his courtship with Lizzie to win her around. Maybe he was biding his time to win over her dad as well. He already had the mother on his side. I still don't see a strong motive for the boy if all we have is an ineffective ban to court his daughter, who he is seeing on a regular basis...
Moreover, if he is the killer I really only see two possibilities: Either he is trying to fool everybody and make it look as if he is being framed by overdoing it, or somebody is framing him by using several items they could easily have stolen from him...At the moment, the latter is the more logical in my opinion...
