While executing the original
search warrant for Hunter Nelson's residence and vehicle,
investigators observed a suspicious stain in plain sight on the front passenger
seat of Nelson's vehicle. The detectives obtained an
additional search warrant, expanding the scope of the original
search to include trace evidence and related items in the
vehicle. The vehicle was impounded to allow for additional analysis
as needed.
