Very soon, Crime Scene is getting a whole new look. Here's what you need to know.
What's changing:
- A bold visual redesign — cleaner, faster, and beautiful on every screen.
- Redesigned navigation that makes finding your next case effortless.
- New features to track your progress and theories during your investigation.
- New subscription tiers with more options and more value.
What's staying exactly the same:
- Every single case, clue, and piece of evidence in the archive.
- Your account will remain intact.
One important change we want to be upfront about:
We're retiring the community comment feature. We know many of you have valued the ability to discuss cases with fellow detectives, and this wasn't a decision we made lightly. To refocus on the core experience — the cases themselves — and to ensure a high-quality, moderated environment, we've chosen to sunset commenting at launch. We're exploring alternative ways for the community to connect (see our FAQ for details).
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Crimescene.com redesigning the site?
We've been listening to feedback for a long time. The redesign modernizes the experience, improves how cases are organized and navigated, and brings the site's design in line with today's standards — especially on mobile. The content has always been exceptional; now the presentation matches it.
When does the new site launch?
The new Crimescene.com goes live on Monday, June 8. You'll receive an email reminder one week before and on launch day.
Will my account carry over?
Yes, your account credentials and subscription remain exactly as they are.
Why is the community comment feature being removed?
This was a hard decision. Maintaining a healthy, moderated comment community requires significant resources, and we found that the commenting experience had declined in quality over time. We want to refocus on what Crimescene.com does best — delivering immersive, realistic crime fiction — and ensure the experience is consistently excellent. We are actively exploring dedicated community alternatives, such as a Discord server or a hosted forum.
