|
REPORTING OFFICER'S NARRATIVE(Brief narrative of the facts surrounding the offense and the arrest.) At 7:30 a.m. on October 23, Reporting Investigators (R/Is) Detectives T. Armstrong and S. Murphy arrived at the arrestee's residence. R/Is knocked on the door, and the arrestee answered. R/Is took the arrestee into custody pursuant to the attached arrest warrant. The arrestee was handcuffed and advised of his rights. The arrestee indicated he wanted to contact a lawyer and was informed he could do so at the station. The arrestee said he would not talk with anyone without a lawyer. R/Is then escorted the arrestee to their department vehicle. Transportation to the Sheriff's Department proceeded without incident. At 7:53 a.m., R/Is turned the arrestee over to Sheriff's Department personnel for processing. At all times while in custody, the arrestee appeared lucid and coherent. The arrestee muttered profanities but was otherwise cooperative and seemed to comprehend what was happening to him. |
| DEFENDANT'S VERSION/REMARKS(What did the defendant say?)
The arrestee asked why he was being arrested and said he wanted to call his lawyer. Otherwise, the arrestee only muttered profanities during transportation to the station and during processing. The arrestee refused to answer any questions until an attorney was present. |
