Case Description: Kimberly Pace death investigation

Selected items from the inventory of evidence from the Kimberly Pace residence were processed for fingerprints. Findings are summarized below.

The following fingerprint data impacted the analysis.

  • Kimberly Pace was fingerprinted at autopsy.
  • The following witnesses were fingerprinted at the scene: Jeremy Gladwell, Rebecca Pace, Cheryl Weston.
  • The following witnesses either provided their fingerprints upon request at the time of their interviews or their fingerprints were already on file with the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department: Arthur Beck, Paul Evans, Tammy Freeman, Jacob Hunter, Lila Lawson, Miguel Ochoa.
  • The following witnesses declined to provide their fingerprints at the time of their interviews: Laurence Bricker, Carter Nichols, Patrick Richards.

The Pace residence (1592 Jackson Avenue) remains sealed pending release by the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department and/or the Yoknapatawpha County District Attorney and/or defense counsel when identified.

This was probably the money Kimberly earned as a waitress in Cheryl's Cafe. As money passes through many hands we should find quite a few unidentified fingerprints on the cash.

I can pretty much discount some of the 'unidentified' prints found on some of Kimberley's objects as belonging to the cashiers, pharmacist etc who would have handled them. However, the unidentified prints found on her expanding files and...

I can pretty much discount some of the 'unidentified' prints found on some of Kimberley's objects as belonging to the cashiers, pharmacist etc who would have handled them. However, the unidentified prints found on her expanding files and attendance notebook are very interesting. This makes me think we need to further explore the grades-for-cash and the Laurence Bricker angles.


Lightbulb - it's not so unusual for their to be no prints on the bulb. If the light had been turned on, it's conceivable that a person would use a cloth to unscrew it by way of protecting their fingers. All this proves is that the bulb was deliberately unscrewed,
