YCSD investigators canvassed YCCC employees and guests for anyone who saw or heard anything of note during the estimated window of time when Douglas Reed is believed to have been killed: between 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9 and 7:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017.

The interviews summarized are some of the most typical or relevant to the investigation and are representative of all interviews conducted.

Bigham

Julio Bigham
YCCC housekeeping staff

Mr. Bigham said he cleaned all of the YCCC meeting rooms on Saturday evening, July 9, 2017. He said he started cleaning the rooms about 5:00 p.m., and while he couldn't be sure of the exact time, he thought he cleaned Meeting Room 10 around 7:00 p.m. He said when he finished cleaning Meeting Room 10, he exited the room and made sure the doors were locked.

Bigham said his cleaning duties in all of the meeting rooms consisted of dusting, vacuuming, and emptying the trash bins. He said he neither saw nor heard anyone else in the vicinity while he was cleaning the meeting rooms, which was expected as the scheduled meetings for the day had concluded around 4:30 p.m. to the best of Bigham's knowledge.

Bigham said he saw nothing unusual in Meeting Room 10 or any of the other meeting rooms he cleaned that evening.

Well, it sounds like Douglas Reed was killed around 9.30pm. When I saw the crime scene photos I thought that he had been knifed, but it appears like the killer put the gun to Douglas' body when he or she pulled the trigger.

I find the statement by Michelle Lamoreaux a bit hard to believe. I'm sure most people give their telephone number to every attractive man they exchange pleasantries with.???? {I think not}. And then, can't positively identify this attractive man that she had bumped into in the lobby and had given her telephone number to.

Can we find out if Reed wrote her number down anywhere?

Ms.Lamoreaux says she can't remember the name, or even what the man she met looked like upon leaving the YCCC. Yet she gave the man her phone number? Why? What did they say to each other? He was a perfect stranger to her, right? Strange.

Yes it is strange isn't it.??? In the autopsy [under hair] he is listed as bald. A good looking young bald black man and she can't positively identify him in the picture. I think she isn't being truthful. There is definitely something fishy...

I am convinced that it was Michelle Lamoreaux that had given the key to room 10 to Dr. Reed. Just imagine that I had given the key to Dr. Reed and then the next morning hear that he has been shot in that room. Dr. Reed could have rung her from the Rowan Oak [or was prearranged by them] before he left and, she met in the lobby to give the key to him as she was leaving. That makes a lot of sense and, accounts for her fishy statement. I wouldn't want to say I had given the key to him and now he is dead. The room in which Carlson and Hemphill were to give their presentation.

She could describe the man she had met but then couldn't identify the man that fit the description
She is definitely hiding something

They all are at the crime scene around the posted TOD and if Lamoreaux is telling the truth he wasn't shot until almost 9

If Bigham locked all the doors after he cleaned the meeting rooms & Lamoreaux happened to "bump" into who might have been Reed, in which she gave her phone #, then the questions than need answering so far is why was Reed returning around 830pm....

If Bigham locked all the doors after he cleaned the meeting rooms & Lamoreaux happened to "bump" into who might have been Reed, in which she gave her phone #, then the questions than need answering so far is why was Reed returning around 830pm. Maybe to prepare for the next day? Meet someone and if so, who? Did Lamoreaux give him the key or did he actually need a key because there may have been someone waiting for him? Is there video surveillance cameras if so when can we get the footage? Need to find Amedeo Peralta reference the fight he supposedly saw in the YCCC parking lot. See if he can give description of who was involved and approximately what time it occurred.

This information may help narrow down suspects.

When did Amadeo Peralta give Michelle Lamoreaux this account of a fight in the parking lot? Is it possible that they both had something to do with the murder ( Lamoreaux giving a key and Peralta something else) - and they needed to cover for each...

When did Amadeo Peralta give Michelle Lamoreaux this account of a fight in the parking lot? Is it possible that they both had something to do with the murder ( Lamoreaux giving a key and Peralta something else) - and they needed to cover for each other? If there was an amount of time before each giving their statements they might have been able to work out a story.

Alternatively, Lamoreaux could have something on Peralta which would make him give a false account of a fight to shift focus from her location at that time on the night in question. Agree that Peralta needs to give an accurate account of when and where all parties were at this time
