Hair Loss Evidence: Ballistic Testing
A handgun that was found in the woods near a campground in Wall Doxey Park in Holly Springs, Mississippi, was used in a convenience store robbery in August of 2009. The .38 caliber handgun was also used in the murder of District Attorney Spenser Brooks. Markings from the gun barrel appear on the bullet, leaving a unique fingerprint.

The weapon caliber model is manufactured by Smith & Wesson. There is indication of recent firing. The Internal ballistic testing showed similar barrel scoring or patterning matching the weapons found in the park to both crimes
