DEAR Visitor,

Over the last week, we've been taking a closer look at the text messages Veronica Smith was getting and at the incident when her tires were slashed to try to determine whether someone was harassing her, and if so, who.

We've also been checking into more of the witnesses we've already interviewed to see if they've been telling us the truth.

In this update, we wanted to learn a bit more about Danielle Lemmons since so many people have mentioned her. The local newspaper dug up a copy of her obituary for us.

We also asked CSU to poke around the outside of the Smith/O'Connor home to see if it looked like anyone had been skulking around out there.

Fingerprints and more were recovered from the exterior of the victim's residence

CSU examined the exterior of Veronica Smith's residence for evidence that someone had been lurking around the house. What did they find besides this fingerprint?

New case info Monday through Friday

New case documents are posted
every weekday.

Email newsletters every Monday review last week and preview what's coming up.

Coming this week, we're going to see if we can track down where those anonymous text messages were coming from. We'll also start following up with some of the people we've interviewed to find out what they have to say about the information we've learned since our earlier conversations.

Who do you think killed Veronica Smith? Or do you think she killed herself and set it up to look like murder? Review the case documents and let us know what you think in the comments, Visitor.

All the best,

Det. Murphy
