I received the attached search warrant March 5, 2022 and have executed it as follows:

On March 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., I searched the person or premises described in the warrant and left a copy of the warrant with Dale King.

INVENTORY OF PERSON OR PROPERTY TAKEN PURSUANT TO THE WARRANT

  • 001019-23: One (1) rhubarb plant, Rheum rhaponticum, in a large terra cotta pot

  • 001019-24: Two (2) rhubarb plants, Rheum rhaponticum, dormant, extracted from garden

  • 001019-25: One (1) bunch rhubarb leaves, dried, tied together with string

  • 001019-26: One (1) cookbook, The Rhubarb Gourmet

  • 001019-27: One (1) book, Know Your Poisonous Plants, with bookmark at page 67, "Rhubarb and Chard"

  • 001019-28: One (1) note from Andrea, undated, without envelope

  • 001019-29: One (1) England 2022 calendar, date February 27 circled in black marker

In the matter of the search of:

SEARCH WARRANT

Oxford, MS 38655

Case Number: 001019-28B-2022

To Detective Samantha Murphy and any Authorized Officer of Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi.

Affidavit(s) having been made before me by Detective Samantha Murphy

who has reason to believe that on the premises known as

2162 South Lamar, which is a free-standing, one-story home with garage and 0.2 acres of yard and garden, leased to and occupied by Dale King;

in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, there is now concealed a person or property, namely

rhubarb plant material (Rheum rhaponticum) or rhubarb-based foodstuffs consistent with the Coroner's description of rhubarb as the primary source of oxalate in the victim's blood and urine; cookbooks or recipe books containing information about rhubarb; printed materials regarding plant toxicology; correspondence from Andrea Stover; an overcoat with silver buttons; an antique locket with a dark red or black stone on a silver chain;

and as I am satisfied that there is probable cause to believe that the person or property so described is now concealed on the person or premises above described and that grounds for application for issuance of the search warrant exist as stated in the supporting affidavit(s).

YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED to search on or before March 15, 2022 (not to exceed 10 days) the person or property specified, serving this warrant and making the search in the daytime (6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). If the person or property be found there seize same, leaving a copy of this warrant and receipt for the person or property taken and prepare a written inventory of the person or property seized and promptly return this warrant to US Judge or Magistrate,
