0000161-24A-32-a - 0000161-24A-32-j
Description
Ten (10) hairs, ranging in length from 0.83 to 1.5 inches. One (1) bulb is at the anagen stage, with intact follicular material. Bulbs of the remaining hairs indicate three (3) at the catagen stage and seven (7) at the telagen stage. Medullar index of .3 and imbricate scales on cuticle indicate human origin. Appearance indicates hairs are from the head and were not forcibly removed. Round cortex and chestnut pigmentation are consistent with a Caucasian. Microscopic comparison indicates a match with hair sample from the decedent, Spenser Brooks.
Chemistry
GC-MS analysis found no indication of long-term drug or alcohol abuse.
DNA Analysis
Nuclear DNA extracted from follicle matches the decedent.

Description
Four (4) hairs, ranging in length from 2.7-5.2 inches. Bulbs indicate one (1) at the catagen stage and three (3) at the telagen stage. No follicular material was recovered. Medullar index of .3 and imbricate scales on cuticle indicate human origin. Appearance indicates hairs are from the head and were not forcibly removed. Round cortex and original brunette pigmentation are consistent with a Caucasian. Condition and appearance of hair indicates it has been repeatedly dyed a dark brown color.
Chemistry
GC-MS analysis found no indication of long-term drug or alcohol abuse.
DNA Analysis
Mitochondrial DNA extracted from hair shaft produces a negative result when compared with existing samples and CODIS database.

Description
Six (6) hairs, ranging in length from 1.3-3.0 inches. Bulbs indicate one (1) at the anagen stage, two (2) at the catagen stage and three (3) at the telagen stage. No follicular material was recovered. Medullar index of .3 and imbricate scales on cuticle indicate human origin. Appearance indicates hairs are from the head and were not forcibly removed. Round cortex and chestnut brown pigmentation are consistent with a Caucasian.

Description
Seven (7) hairs, ranging in length from 3.8 - 13.3 inches. Bulbs indicate one (1) at the anagen stage, one (1) at the catagen stage and five (5) at the telagen stage. The remaining two (2) hairs were partial remnants without bulbs. No follicular material was recovered. Medullar index of .3 and imbricate scales on cuticle indicate human origin. Appearance indicates hairs are from the head and were not forcibly removed. Round cortex and blonde pigmentation are consistent with a Caucasian.
