Woman Murdered on Highway
On October 14, 2000, local writer Zoe Chase was found dead on the
side of the road near Oxford. Autopsy results show that Chase died
from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Initial impressions at
the scene indicated she was the victim of a robbery and carjacking,
but investigators now believe Chase was murdered by Peggy
leClaire.
