Literacy Agent Found Dead

Yoknapatawpha Sheriffs Department officials announced yesterday that the body of Victor Jennings, 48, was found dead in his home of an apparent stab wound to the chest. Lee Merryweather, Jennings personal assistant made the chilling discovery.

Victor Jennings was accused of blackmailing Hollywood’s power couple Michael Hawke and wife Samantha. The couple allowed federal authorities to setup a sting operation, which gave damming evidence against Jennings. Jennings was placed under house arrest and was awaiting trial on extortion.

Few details are known at this time and authorities have declined to comment on the cause of death. Yoknapatawpha Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Elizabeth Jones did say that detectives have classified Jennings death as “suspicious” and are awaiting autopsy results to conclude whether Jennings death was accidental or possible homicide.

County Coroner Luwinda Johnson stated that her office is conducting an official autopsy to determine the cause of death.
