The witness, Deanne Kimbrough, is a self-employed married woman. The interview was conducted at the Sheriff's Department and was recorded with the witness's consent and knowledge.

Participants:

  • Detective Ted Armstrong
  • Detective Sam Murphy
  • Deanne Kimbrough

Detective Murphy: For the record, could you please state your name and address?

Deanne Kimbrough: Mi nombre es Deanne Kimbrough y vivo al camino del condado

Detective Armstrong: Please Mrs. Kimbrough could you speak in English for this interview?

Deanne Kimbrough: Of course. My name is Deanne Kimbrough, and I live at 19 County Road 1090.

Detective Armstrong: We understand that you were cleaning at The Theatre when the body was found in the mannequin bin?

Deanne Kimbrough: Si.... yes sir I was.

Detective Murphy: Deanne, may I call you Deanne?

Deanne Kimbrough: Yes.

Detective Murphy: Deanne, did you see or hear anything that was unusual or out of place before the body was discovered?

Deanne Kimbrough: I did.

Detective Armstrong: Can you elaborate?

Deanne Kimbrough: About three weeks ago, some teens or young adults began sneaking into the backstage area. I always found little reminders that they had been there. They were always dressed in dark clothing, but their skin was a sickly white shade. One night, I sneaked up on them as they were sitting in a circle and speaking words I could not comprehend. They seemed totally unaware that I was there. I yelled for them to leave, and they scattered like rats.

Detective Armstrong: Excuse me. Why do you think what happened three weeks ago would have anything to do with the incident we are investigating?

Deanne Kimbrough: I just thought that maybe these kids were involved somehow.

Detective Murphy: Could you recognize any of them if you saw them again?

Deanne Kimbrough: No, that's one thing I realized right away. I saw these kids several times over the last few weeks, yet I could not for the life of me remember the faces of any of them.

Detective Armstrong: Did you see or notice anything else?

Deanne Kimbrough: I did see a young woman, maybe 25 or so, who was hanging out at the back door. I just assumed she was waiting on someone.

Detective Murphy: Is there anything else?

Deanne Kimbrough: Not that I can recall.

Detective Armstrong: Mrs. Kimbrough, did you kill the victim?

Deanne Kimbrough: What, me? Absolutely not. Am I a suspect?

Detective Murphy: We haven't ruled anyone out, Deanne.

Deanne Kimbrough: I didn't have anything to do with it, I swear!

Detective Armstrong: Calm down. We aren't accusing you. Until we solve this crime, we have to consider everyone.

Deanne Kimbrough: I understand. Are we about finished? I have houses to clean.

Detective Armstrong: Yes, we're finished. Let us know if you remember anything that might help us in our investigation.

Deanne Kimbrough: I will. Good day to you both.

Interview ends at 8:41 AM
