Like all our products, the semen detection test is a real evidence test, not a consumer toy. Forensic scientists use it in the field, and in laboratories. The test is a several step process that may prove too demanding for some persons.

Step One: Use a semen detection test strip to check the stain for the presence of semen. Test multiple areas. A positive result rapidly turns the test strip bright purple.
Step Two: Select the area that causes the brightest, fastest color change and confirm the presence of semen with a PSA test. A positive test result makes the kit show two red bars.

Latent Fingerprint Kit, Fluorescent

This fluorescent latent print kit holds a UV light, fluorescent powder, applicator, fingerprint cards and tape. It is an efficient kit for the field technician to use at a crime scene to develop prints on difficult surfaces. Apply the fluorescent powder using the magnetic wand or feather duster, darken the room and fingerprints become visible when viewed with the orange goggles and illuminated with the supplied UV light.

Unlike traditional powder printing, fluorescent prints are primarily collected by photographing them. Photograph fingerprint evidence with an orange filter on the camera lens or by holding the goggles in front of the camera lens. Fingerprint cards and fingerprint tape are included to store your prints after photographing.

Select fluorescent powder colors using the pulldown menu. Red fluorescent powder is the best powder for most surfaces. Green fluorescent powder is especially sensitive to ultraviolet light sources and works on most surfaces. Choose pink or yellow fluorescent powder provide additional flexibility for removing background interference from difficult surfaces.

The front of the shirt features our detective shield, and the back is emblazoned with FORENSICS in large type. Detective shirts are grey with black printing. Subtract $3.50 for children's sizes. Add $2 for sizes XXL, XXXL and XXXXL.

Evidence Marking, Tents

These evidence marker tents are ideal for indoor or outdoor photography. There are three 3" � 3" surfaces on each tent and a metric scale on the flat surface with "photo cross hairs" The scale on the horizontal surface allows more precise measurement and the "photo cross hairs" determine which angle the photo was take An evidence flag can be inserted in the hole on top of the tent.

Evidence tents are yellow with black printing, in packs of 20. Tents 1 thru 20 are pictured. We carry tents numbered 1 thru 100. We also stock tents A-Z, though there is an extra charge due to the additional tents.�

You can purchase individual tents by selecting "Sample Misc 1-20" in the pulldown menu. This gets you one tent with a randomly selected number.

Tabletop Fingerprint Station

The Tabletop Fingerprinting Stations are made of a wood covered with an easy-to-clean black laminate. Each station has a divided storage compartment under the top for supplies, and one large Porelon Inking Pad is attached to the top, along with on cardholder.
