These markers can be used alone or in combination with the photo evidence markers to indicate direction or call attention to an element of a scene.

The north indicator is especially useful to orient outdoor scenes. The left/right marker has an arrow pointing left on one side and right on the other.

The kit contains a total of four markers. One of each arrow (north/up, right/left, down, and up.)

In outdoor crime scenes it may be difficult to see evidence that has been scattered about because of high grass or uneven ground conditions. This situation is more prevalent in cases in which human bones or remains of a victim in a rural setting need to be documented and recovered. Crime scene flags provide the visual information in the overall and mid-range crime scene photographs to document the evidence's relationship to the crime scene. They also alert the crime scene technician to the area where the evidence is located when it may not be readily observed. The flags can be used alone if they can be easily inserted in the ground or with the Versa Cones when practical and when a hard surface is present.

Crime scene flags are particularly useful in large outdoor scenes encountered in automobile and aircraft accidents where evidence that needs to be located, marked and collected can be spread over a very large area. These are bright yellow flags of 4"x5" plastic on a 21" wire staff. The flags have "EVIDENCE-DO NOT TOUCH" printed in large letters.

These plastic evidence markers, called Versa-Cones, are numbered on all 4 sides to capture all desired photo angles without stopping to re-position the cone. These evidence marker tents are ideal for indoor or outdoor photography. There are three 3" × 3" surfaces on each tent and a metric scale on the flat surface with "photo cross hairs" The scale on the horizontal surface allows more precise measurement and the "photo cross hairs" determine which angle the photo was take An evidence flag can be inserted in the hole on top of the tent.

Evidence tents are yellow with black printing, in packs of 20. Tents 1 thru 20 are pictured. We carry tents numbered 1 thru 100. We also stock tents A-Z, though there is an extra charge due to the additional tents.
