Latent Fingerprint Kit, Fluorescent

This fluorescent latent print kit holds a UV light, fluorescent powder, applicator, fingerprint cards and tape. It is an efficient kit for the field technician to use at a crime scene to develop prints on difficult surfaces. Apply the fluorescent powder using the magnetic wand or feather duster, darken the room and fingerprints become visible when viewed with the orange goggles and illuminated with the supplied UV light.

Unlike traditional powder printing, fluorescent prints are primarily collected by photographing them. Photograph fingerprint evidence with an orange filter on the camera lens or by holding the goggles in front of the camera lens. Fingerprint cards and fingerprint tape are included to store your prints after photographing.

Select fluorescent powder colors using the pulldown menu. Red fluorescent powder is the best powder for most surfaces. Green fluorescent powder is especially sensitive to ultraviolet light sources and works on most surfaces. Choose pink or yellow fluorescent powder provide additional flexibility for removing background interference from difficult surfaces.
