Oxford Eagle

Monty, a retired cadaver dog, retrieved a bag of body parts
yesterday.
Her owner, Beau Dixon of Oxford, opened the bag and immediately placed
a call
to 911.
Elizabeth Jones,
the information officer
for the Yoknapatawpha Sheriff’s Department, confirmed that, "A dog
found a
package that had two severed human feet enclosed. There is a forensic
team on
site searching the area for anything that may seem out of place. We
will make every
effort to identify these remains. We ask that the public stay out of
their
way."
With the discovery of a severed finger earlier this month,
many speculate
that maybe these body parts are connected. I spoke with Lewis Silky,
the owner
of the Days Inn where the finger was found on August 8, who said, "I
bet
that Mr. Knight, who never returned for his belongings, killed someone
in that
room."
Oscar Knight was the guest who was staying in the room where
the finger was
found. Knight has not yet come forward with a statement and attempts to
contact
him by authorities have come to naught. |
