Another bag of body parts has been found at Lamar Park. Anna Wood, a
frequent
jogger at the park, found the package. "I saw something shiny
beside
the pond so I went down to check it out." Wood is a University student
here in Oxford.
As she got close to the package she stated that the smell was
awful. "I
knew it was something that used to be living, that's a stench you don't
forget."
The Yoknapatawpha Sheriff’s Department, confirmed that the
package contained
human remains. Another bag of remains was found in late August at the
park by a
retired cadaver dog. "Since a second package has been found near the
pond
we are seriously considering dragging the pond," said Elizabeth Jones,
information officer for the YSD.
These two gruesome discoveries along with the severed finger
found at the
Days Inn are causing panic for the people who live in the Oxford area.
A citizen of Oxford asked, "What if we have a serial killer
here in
Oxford and these parts belong to several different people?" Hopefully
this
question and more will be answered soon.
The authorities are asking that park visitors avoid the pond
area until
their search is complete. |
