Kelly Clinton provided hair and blood samples to the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department on April 17, 2000. The following results of tests on those samples were received from the Mississippi State Crime Lab.

One millimeter hair samples along the length of the hair were taken from the subject and analyzed using neutron activation analysis (MIT, Massachusetts). As every millimeter represents about 2 days, the subject seems to have begun exposure to arsenic approximately 30 days ago [from the date the samples were taken]. As well, a decrease in arsenic consumption seems to have occurred approximately 2 weeks ago [from the date the samples were taken].

In addition, per your request, a pregnancy test was performed using a blood sample. Results were negative.
