- A note was discovered by a university librarian on
August 4. It was addressed to Dave. It is interpreted
as a plea for assistance from Detective David
Anderson.

- This note was found stuck between pages 54 and 55
of the Complete Poems of Edgar Allan Poe (NY: Gramercy
Books, 1992).
-
- The book was in the University of Mississippi
library stacks and was pulled from the shelves in
response to a request from the Sheriff's Department
asking for an ongoing inventory of Poe books from
local libraries and bookstores.
