  • Could this really be as simple as this; Wayne and Ned, (two really low level crooks), Figure this is their ticket to nirvana. The wife calls and tells them to cancel because no one will be home. They have already "cased" the joint in there prior, legit, visits. They know what they want in the basement, entertainment area - quick in and out - easy-peasy. BUT! Robert is home and surprises them at the bottom of the stairs. Robert shoots Wayne. Ned shoots Robert. Ned grabs the casing and runs, empty handed, in the white bug van.
    I just think there must be a twist...
    Who has a black dog or cat? Do the Pruitt's? You wouldn't bring your dog to a burglary - would you? Something was walking around at/below knee level, shedding or rubbing against legs.
