Detective Samantha Murphy and Detective Ted Armstrong of the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department, and Ashley Beckwith, lessee.

 

I received the attached search warrant November 13, 2013 and have executed it as follows:

On November 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., I searched the person or premises described in the warrant and left a copy of the warrant with Ashley Beckwith.

 

INVENTORY OF PERSON OR PROPERTY TAKEN PURSUANT TO THE WARRANT

  • 003511-19: One (1) 6-inch chef's knife

  • 003511-20: One (1) 8-inch cook's knife

  • 003511-21: One (1) pair blue jeans with dark stains

  • 003511-22: One (1) pair brown boots with dark stains

  • 003511-23 through 003511-24: Two (2) samples from trunk liner in vehicle that luminesced when treated with a latent bloodstain reagent

  • 003511-25 through 003511-26: Two (2) samples from trunk liner in vehicle that did not luminesce when treated with a latent bloodstain reagent

913 South 13th Street
Oxford, MS 38655

Case Number: 003511-04K-2013

To Detective Samantha Murphy and any Authorized Officer of Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi.

Affidavit(s) having been made before me by Detective Samantha Murphy

who has reason to believe that on the premises known as

913 South 13th Street, a one-story, three-bedroom, single-family home leased to and occupied by Ashley Beckwith; a 2011 Mazda Miata coupe, red, (VIN XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) registered to Ashley Beckwith;

in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, there is now concealed a person or property, namely

Articles of clothing, footwear or other items with possible bloodstains and/or blood spatter; surfaces with possible bloodstains and/or blood spatter; a knife with blade measuring at least 5.5 inches long;

and as I am satisfied that there is probable cause to believe that the person or property so described is now concealed on the person or premises above described and that grounds for application for issuance of the search warrant exist as stated in the supporting affidavit(s).

YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED to search on or before November 23, 2013 (not to exceed 10 days) the person or property specified, serving this warrant and making the search in the daytime (6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). If the person or property be found there seize same, leaving a copy of this warrant and receipt for the person or property taken and prepare a written inventory of the person or property seized and promptly return this warrant to US Judge or Magistrate,

  • Well now, we just have to wait to see what the results will be regarding the stains on Ashley's clothes and the luminesced area in the trunk liner.
    And the other strange thing with the search at Jasmine's mum's house is the Detectives found one clear plastic tarp 6' x 8'. And there was also luminesced spatter on the garage ceiling and garage floor at Brenda's house.
    So at the moment they are both looking like they could be guilty, and the test results should be back soon as the searches were done on the 12th and 14th.
    So hopefully the test results will reveal who the killer was.
    But wherever Jasmine was killed she had to have bleed out there, because apart from some blood on her clothes and a little bit of blood on the leaf, the clear plastic tarp was not covered in blood which is what you would expect if she had been killed where her body was found.

  • If a same plastics are found in her mum's house then here we go for another clue we had already the blood samples
