A search of the Bledsoe house was performed. The garage was analyzed using Luminol. Several places on the garage floor reacted (items 000492-20 to 000492-26), producing a smearing pattern. Samples were swabbed and found to be positive for blood. STR testing revelead all samples belonged to the victim, Amy Bledsoe.

The search also afforded a butcher knife (000492-27) consistent with the weapon producing the wounds on the victim.
