Case Description: Amy Bledsoe Homicide

Based on witness statements during interviews, investigators have put together the following summary of the witnesses’ alibis for the window of time when the murder is believed to have been committed (between 6 and 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2005) Also included is information on the results of attempts to verify the alibis.

Fred Anderson Anderson found the body at around 5:45 a.m.-6:00 a.m. on 12-05-05 when looking for a good hunting location in the woods.

In their interviews his hunting buddies verified that they met at 5:20 and then dispersed to various locations until they heard Anderson when he found the body a short time later. All agreed he would not have had time to kill anyone. Note: Coronor’s report stating time of death as Dec 4 eliminated him as a suspect.
Mary Bledsoe In her first interview she stated she last saw Amy when she left home to run errands and Amy was waiting in the garage for a ride. In her 2nd interview she clarified that she left home around 4:30 p.m. returning around 5:30 p.m. and the grocery store clerk could verify seeing her there.

In the summary interview one neighbor said he looked out at 4:50-5:00 p.m. when he heard Mary pull her car out of the garage into the driveway but didn’t know what time she left. At 5:15 there were no cars at Bledsoes’ or on the block. Another neighbor saw her car drive away around 5:00 p.m. “Ask the Detective” reports none of the store employees could swear to Mary’s being in the store between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.
Bledsoe, Jessica In her only interview, Mrs. Bledsoe said she was with Victor, her husband, all evening.

Victor, in his first interview, said he was at home and his wife could verify that. In Victor’s second interview he admits to not being at home between 7:00 and 11 p.m.
Bledsoe, Victor In his first interview he says he was home Sunday evening and his wife, Jessica, could verify it. In his 2nd interview he admits he was in his red vehicle--license WRW933--on the street near Amy’s house between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening. He then went to be with Nancy Wu and got home around 11.

In her first interview Jessica said she was with her husband all evening. Buzz Dakota said he saw the red vehicle with license WRW933 near Amy’s house between 7 and 8 p.m. When interviewed, Nancy Wu said Victor was with her from around 8 p.m. “for a couple of hours”
Cassidy, Greg In his first interview he said he never met Amy, had only talked to her on the phone, and had planned to pick her up at her home for their 5:30 interview appointment. She phoned at 5:00 p.m. and left a message on his machine to cancel the ride. In his 2nd interview he said he was in his dark room when she phoned at 5:00, then when she didn’t show up for the appointment by 5:45 he tried to phone her but couldn’t get a connection. He said he worked, stayed home all evening and to his knowledge no one could

There were no witnesses to corroborate Greg’s whereabouts the evening of the homicide.
Helen Masters In her interview she admitted she was “watching” Carl’s house from 7-11 p.m. in a maroon rental car that she’d picked up at noon and dropped off the next morning at 10.

There is no corroboration for her alibi
Kayla Pecan In her first interview Ms. Pecan states she had no plans to pick up Amy from the interview or for them to spend the night at Pecan’s. She last saw Amy the week before the homicide.

No witnesses
Nancy Wu In her interview Ms. Wu stated she was at her hotel all day on the day of the homicide where Victor joined her around 8:00 p.m and stayed for “a couple of hours”

In his second interview Victor said he went to be with Nancy Wu after 8:00 p.m. and got home about 11:00.
Carl Yates In his first interview Carl said he was fishing alone at Sardi Lake the day of the homicide. In his second interview he said he left home at 11:00 a.m.to go to Sardi, left the lake around 4:30-5:00 p.m. and got home between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. He stopped at Huddle House on his way home and classmate, Gerry Albright, saw him there. He drives a Chevy S-10 pickup.

No witnesses were found who saw him at Sardi, but Gerry Albright was interviewed and said he was at Huddle House between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. and saw Carl there.
